Reading and statistics
You do not need to log in to read news stories. No site cookies were detected when a public visit without authentication was checked. Visits are measured using Independent Analytics, which runs on this website’s server and does not use cookies for that measurement. This does not mean that no technical data are processed: this is explained in the privacy policy.
Cookies WordPress may use

Links and third-party services
The site’s links to social media or other sources are not, in themselves, cookies from those platforms installed by this website. When you open them, you navigate to the selected service and its terms apply. If we add services that install nonessential cookies, their operation must be reviewed, this information updated, and the appropriate authorization mechanism put in place before they are activated.
How to manage them
You can view, block, or delete cookies through your browser’s privacy settings. You can also leave the option to save your details unchecked when commenting. Deleting session cookies may log you out of the administration area; blocking preference cookies prevents those options from being remembered but should not prevent you from reading news stories.
We do not display a general acceptance button as though it authorized processing that this configuration does not use.
