Afinia scheduled a power outage for Sunday, November 8, 2026, in parts of Cartagena and Turbaco connected to the Ternera 16 circuit. The interruption is planned for 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The announced window covers eight and a half hours. The work is part of the company’s electrical work schedule for the week of November 2 through 8 in Bolívar and southern Magdalena.
Housing developments and areas included on Ternera 16
The list includes the Asturias, Villagrande de Indias, Bosque de la Ceiba, Villa Andrea, and Horizonte housing developments. Also included are the La Pradera 1 condominium, Huellas de Alberto Uribe, and Huellas de San Pablo.
The schedule also mentions Tubo Caribe, San Ángel, and El Rodeo. The notice applies to the areas listed by Afinia for that circuit, not to a general outage throughout Turbaco or Cartagena.
Other locations included are Universidad Tecnológica, the El Pozón–Policarpa road, the Mamonal–Gambote bypass, and the Bajo Miranda area.
The list also covers the avenue and the transportation terminal, Pedro de Heredia Avenue, and the Centro Industrial. The Llave de Oro farm appears in the rural area.
Modernization work and other Sunday schedules
According to Afinia, the weekly schedule includes maintenance, infrastructure replacement, equipment standardization, and substation improvements as part of its network modernization plan to strengthen service continuity and quality.
That same Sunday, the Ternera 17 circuit has a different schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In Cartagena, that notice includes La Concepción, El Recreo, Portal de la Concepción, and the Vitrus, Balcones de Atenea, and La Coruña buildings.
The Ternera 16 work is separate from the November 3 notice for the Ternera 6 circuit in Turbaco. The dates, times, and areas in that schedule do not correspond to the outage announced for this Sunday.
