Ubaldo Alfonso Villalba Bossio, 28, a resident of Turbaco’s La Cumbre neighborhood, was shot and killed in the early hours of Monday, November 2, in Arjona, Bolívar. The attack occurred on the Troncal de Occidente in the La Cruz area.
Bolívar Police confirmed that the body was found on a public road at around 1 a.m. After learning of the case, authorities conducted an examination and began gathering information about what had happened.
He was attacked on his way home
According to preliminary information, Villalba Bossio had attended a picó dance party and was heading home. On the way, he was intercepted by men traveling on a motorcycle, who shot him repeatedly.
The La Cruz area is on the stretch of the Troncal de Occidente that leads toward Gambote.
Police had previously arrested him
Villalba Bossio was known by the alias Matías. In July 2025, the Cartagena Metropolitan Police had reported his arrest and identified him as an alleged area leader of the Clan del Golfo in Turbaco and Arjona.
According to the allegations released by that institution, he allegedly coordinated drug distribution and the collection of proceeds from street-level drug sales in the two municipalities. During that operation, police reported seizing a nine-millimeter pistol, a magazine with cartridges, and a cell phone.
